The CFRI 20th Annual Education Conference:
"Successful Strategies for Living Well with CF"
The CFRI celebrated its 20th Annual Education Conference August 10-12, 2007 in Redwood City,
California. The conference was an opportunity to connect the CF community with the latest
information regarding CF research, treatments, therapies and CF services. Presenters spoke on
topics ranging from CF research, advanced gene therapies, clinical treatments, newborn screening,
quality of life issues and concerns, as well as effective strategies for working within your
school system.
As a participant, CysticFibrosis.com interviewed over thirty-two attendees.
Doctors, researchers, advocates, parents and young people stopped by our CF
lounge to speak with us about their professional and personal experiences
with CF and the CFRI Conference. The importance of the CFRI's Education
Conference was evident; we gained dynamic insight, significant data findings,
relevant education and research information first hand and we are really excited
to share it with the members of CysticFibrosis.com.
Over the next several weeks, CysticFibrosis.com will present a dynamic
perspective of the CFRI Conference. We are excited to share these remarkable
interviews with our online CF audience. Be empowered as you listen to the latest
in research and education, and listen to the doctors and scientists speak of their
findings and supported evidence. Be encouraged as you listen to those affected
by CF tell their personal stories and how the CFRI Education Conference is
helping raise awareness, and instill hope.
The CFRI is dedicated to supporting the entire CF community. For those of you
who were unable to attend the event, the CFRI is offering the conference
DVD collection. Click here to request your
