On December 19th I will celebrate my 7 year Lung Transplant Anniversary. As I move toward this milestone I can't help but reflect.
I feel so blessed to have my family, friends, and health but am also deeply saddened that our CF community has recently had so many bright lights snuffed out way to soon. As I approach my 7 year anniversary my thoughts and heart go out to all of the families and friends of those that we have all lost; Melissa, Paul (Q), Courtney, and Lauren (I miss you all). I am so glad that we have places like this that allow us to share our knowledge and experience, and am hopeful that this online community will continue to grow. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!
Everyone with CF who has to deal with the issues we do should be extra proud of ourselves for putting up with CF on a daily basis!! But to undergo a transplant, MY HAT IS OFF TO YOU!!! I know someday I will be in the same boat, and hopefully I will be able to have a 7 year anniversary as well!! Spent the last few days at UCSF doing my seven year check up-CT Scan, PFT, and Bronch-everything came back very, very positive.
