At CysticFibrosis.com we are always “Enlarging the View”. Whether we are welcoming a newly diagnosed individual or family in the Newly Diagnosed Category, discussing CF treatments in the Adult Category, or simply musing and venting at our Blogs, authors and readers alike get to enlarge their view on how to manage, handle and deal with all aspects of cystic fibrosis. When considering the larger picture it is also important to entertain the small spaces in our lives. The CF e-Patient, has an insatiable need for interior peace. The key components for maintaining balance and inner peace are addressed in the new collaborative psychotherapy and counseling program initiated by Caroll Jenkins and the CFRI. The Cystic Fibrosis Quality of Life Program: A Living Legacy of Peter Judge, is a model which addresses the psychological and personal aspects of dealing with cystic fibrosis such as stress, grief, mourning, and social and spiritual needs. Participate in helping the CFRI continue the development of this very special quality of life model for the care of the CF community by sharing your suggestions and feedback with the CFRI. Congratulations Carroll and your most dedicated team at the CFRI, the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and The Center for Education in Family and Community Medicine at Stanford University on launching this innovative program in the SF Bay area! We look forward to its expansion! As always, I look forward to hearing all about each of your own personal "small spaces". Sincerely, Jeanne Barnett, Founder |
This initiative is a collaborative effort of the Cystic Fibrosis Research, Inc., the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and The Center for Education in Family and Community Medicine at Stanford University. "A Living Legacy of Peter Judge" Listen to Art Johnson, CFRI 20th Annual Education Conference attendee as he discusses the Peter Judge Legacy Foundation for the pyschology and counseling of dealing with the all-encompassing aspects of cystic fibrosis. Art Johnson was a close personal friend of Peter Judge. | |
"A Living Legacy of Peter Judge" Listen to Julie Judge, Peter Judge's mother as she discusses her experience with cystic fibrosis and what finally makes us the people we are. As we celebrate the victory of newborn screening in more US states, Alabama being the most recent state to pass newborn screening, Julie Judge's video serves as a reminder of how important newborn screening is for an early diagnosis and immediate treatment. |
