CF Awareness Month What a month it has been for has been for CysticFibrosis.com! We dreamt we would conduct our first ever Web Based CF Market Research… and we did! We successfully lobbied for online interviews; eliminating the risk of cross infections at meeting facilities, while improving comfort and convenience for those who were able to participate. We are aware of new things - new drugs, delivery systems, and therapies in the pipeline. We take advantage of new opportunities presented to us at CysticFibrosis.com such as online market research, BEF scholarships, CF Island at Second Life, and pharmaceutical companies willing to listen to us and eventually work with us! I encourage you to gain new perspectives – add to your awareness. Look at new things; look for new ways to look at old things. I am always gaining from your perspectives. I am honored to present to you Lauren Beyenhof’s personal interview with Dr. Francis Collins. Dr. Collins together with his colleagues identified the CFTR gene in 1989. Sing a long with Dr. Collins, “Dare to Dream” ! Keep Dreaming, Jeanne Barnett, Founder
